Days 1–4 | Samarkand
One of the world’s oldest cities, Samarkand was a key center of science, culture, and trade during the Timurid era. You will explore the magnificent Registan Square, the mausoleum of Gur-Emir, the monumental Bibi-Khanum Mosque, the Shakhi-Zinda necropolis, and Ulugh Beg’s Observatory, reflecting Samarkand’s role in medieval astronomy. Cultural experiences include visits to a silk carpet workshop and a traditional cooking class.
An excursion to Zaamin National Park, known for its mountain landscapes, forests, and fresh alpine air, adds a natural dimension to the journey.
Day 5 | Samarkand – Urgut – Shakhrisabz – Termez
Travel through Urgut, a historic craft center famous for traditional workshops and ancient plane trees. Continue to Shakhrisabz, the birthplace of Amir Temur, where you visit the impressive ruins of the Ak-Saray Palace and the spiritual complexes of Dor-us Saodat and Dor-ut Tilavat. In the evening, arrive in Termez, one of the oldest cities in Central Asia.
Days 6–7 | Termez
Located at the crossroads of civilizations, Termez preserves traces of Buddhist, Greco-Bactrian, Zoroastrian, and Islamic cultures. Sightseeing includes Fayaz Tepe Buddhist monastery, Kampyr-Tepe fortress, Zurmala Tower, and sacred Islamic complexes. Evening flight to Tashkent.
Days 8–9 | Tashkent – Fergana Valley
In Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s capital, discover the Khast-Imam Complex, Chorsu Bazaar, beautifully decorated Metro stations, and central squares blending ancient heritage with modern life.
Travel through the scenic Kamchik Pass to the Fergana Valley, the heartland of Uzbek crafts. Visit Kokand’s Khudoyar Khan Palace, Rishtan ceramics workshops, and Margilan silk factories, where traditional ikat production continues today.
Day 10 | Tashkent – Samarkand (Train)
Further exploration of Tashkent’s cultural landmarks before returning to Samarkand by high-speed train.
Days 11–12 | Uhum Village – Aydarkul – Bukhara
Experience authentic rural life in Uhum village, staying with a local family, baking traditional bread, and exploring walnut groves and ancient petroglyphs. Continue to Aydarkul Lake, a peaceful oasis on the edge of the Kyzylkum Desert, before arriving in the historic city of Bukhara.
Days 13–14 | Bukhara
With over 2,500 years of history, Bukhara is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Central Asia. Highlights include the Poi-Kalyan Complex, Ark Citadel, Lyabi-Hauz Ensemble, Ismail Samani Mausoleum, and Sufi shrines. An evening folklore show offers insight into traditional music and dance.
Days 15–16 | Bukhara – Khiva
Cross the Kyzylkum Desert to reach Khiva, an open-air museum city. Inside the UNESCO-listed Ichan-Kala, explore palaces, mosques, madrasahs, and minarets that vividly reflect life along the Silk Road.
Days 17–19 | Karakalpakstan & Aral Sea
Discover ancient fortresses such as Ayaz-Kala and Toprak-Kala, once strongholds of ancient Khorezm. Visit Muynak, famous for its ship cemetery, and travel across the Ustyurt Plateau to the Aral Sea, spending a night in a traditional yurt camp and witnessing dramatic desert landscapes.
Day 20 | Nukus – Tashkent
Visit the renowned Savitsky Museum in Nukus, home to one of the world’s most important collections of Russian avant-garde art, before flying back to Tashkent.
Day 21 | Amirsoy – Chimgan – Charvak
Explore the mountain region near Tashkent. Amirsoy Resort, Chimgan Mountains, and Charvak Lake offer alpine scenery, fresh air, and optional outdoor activities, providing a refreshing contrast to the historical cities.
Day 22 | Departure
Transfer to Tashkent International Airport for departure.
